Transitional Beliefs
Transitional Beliefs is a short film that looks at how people become attached to certain ideas when they’re going through difficult emotional periods. In those moments, we can misread others, cling to beliefs that make us feel safe, or interpret things in slightly distorted ways. It’s something we all experience at different points in our lives.
The film explores how first impressions can be misleading, and how easily we judge others through the lens of our own experiences and beliefs. What seems logical on the surface is often shaped by insecurity, pain, or unresolved unhappiness.
People are always in flux. We’re not fixed; we change depending on where we live, how we live, what we see, and what we feel. There may not be an absolute right or wrong, yet society often makes us feel like there is. Without realising it, we build filters to protect ourselves — but the film asks whether those filters actually help us understand others.
Transitional Beliefs is currently in post-production, and we hope to share it with you soon.
